04/17/25 Ashburn, VA: DSI Tech, a leading provider of IT solutions and services, is proud to announce that it has officially received certification as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), nationally certified by the Eastern Minority Supplier Development Council (EMSDC)opens a new window. This prestigious certification recognizes DSI Tech as a business that is at least 51% owned, managed, and controlled by qualified minority group members.

“This milestone is an important part of our journey,” said Alan Bechara, Executive Vice President at DSI Tech. “We’re honored to join a powerful network of diverse businesses and look forward to expanding opportunities through new partnerships and supplier diversity initiatives.”

MBE certification is the gold standard for minority-owned for-profit businesses, and it is the certification that the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) has offered for its more than 50-year history. It opens the door to increased visibility in both the private and public sectors, giving DSI Tech access to government and corporate contracts that prioritize diverse suppliers. It also provides the opportunity to collaborate with other certified minority-owned businesses and participate in exclusive business development programs.

Founded in 1972, the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) is the longest-operating business growth engine for the broadest group of systematically excluded communities of color (Asian-Indian, Asian-Pacific, Black, Hispanic, and Native American), and our impact goes far beyond supply chain. It’s about upward mobility for the emerging majority of Americans, an equal shot at participating in the American experiment of free-market capitalism and entrepreneurship. Our work is about correcting the unequal access to wealth-building opportunities. Learn more at nmsdc.orgopens a new window.

EMSDC, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, is an affiliate of the NMSDC. There are 23 regional councils across the country with more than 1,750 corporate members. The EMSDC certifies and connects global businesses (Asian, Black, Hispanic, and Native American) throughout Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, and Delaware with member corporations. These corporations are committed to supplier development and want to purchase their products, services and solutions. Learn more at emsdc.orgopens a new window.
